Canon has just announced their entry into the mirrorless camera market with the EOS-M. The EOS-M has a 18MP APS-C sensor, with a 1040k dot LCD touch screen to complement it. As with any other mirrorless camera, the Canon EOS-M has the quality of their DSLRs in the size of a point and shoot camera. The price of the camera starts out at 799.99 USD.
The camera will be released with the following lenses:
- EF-M 22mm F/2
- EF-M 18-55 F3.5-5.6 IS
Not the best variety of lenses there wil certainly be more released in the near future! The EOS-M does not however, feature fully manual operation, rather they have intelligent auto modes to help you get the shot you want.
